This vocational qualification aims to introduce learners to sustainability and develop their awareness of the environment, considering how consumption levels can impact on the environment and how reducing waste can support the environment. Learners will explore their carbon footprint and consider different ways that they can reduce it, including ways to improve energy efficiency where they live or work. Different sources of energy are explored, and learners will carry out basic research into how renewable energy is developed and recognising common issues with renewable energy sources. This course is currently delivered by an Environment Study Centre training partner.
