BLENDED COURSE     LEVEL 3    3 WEEKS

The ABBE Level 3 Certificate for Retrofit Assessors qualification has been developed to enable those working in the construction and built environment sector to take a course which covers the PAS2035 Retrofit Assessor role. The qualification will meet regulatory requirements and will use the Accreditation Schemes to produce the report.

This qualification is designed to cover all aspects of the PAS2035 Retrofit Assessor role, giving the learner the knowledge, understanding and skills to carry out an assessment and produce a condition report. It includes understanding the principles and standards of retrofit, building structures, building appraisal and occupancy assessments, which are all essential in this role.

Note: You need to already be a Domestic Energy Assessor to join this course.

Start dates

The course start date will be announced once the minimum number of learners has been reached. A notice of at least two weeks will be provided.

Course information

  • You must qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor to join this course
  • Classroom learning (online): Approximately 5 hours (2 half day sessions, first on Day 1, second the following week)
  • E-Learning: 40-60 hours approximately
  • Course dates subject to minimum numbers, you will be notified in good time if changes are made
  • ABBE Registration fee: £167.89 +VAT

Bookings and Cancellations

📧 Requests and Acknowledgements
  • All rescheduling or cancellation requests must be sent via email.
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring Environment Study Centre confirms receipt.
  • A written acknowledgement will be sent within 2 working days.
💸 Cancellation and Refunds
  • Cancellations must be in writing and received no later than least 14 days before the event start date.
  • Registration and Quality Assurance Fees cannot be refunded.
  • No refunds for cancellations received after the 14-day window.
  • Fees already paid to a third party are non-refundable.
  • Some courses/events may have different cancellation timeframes—see specific details.
🔁 Rescheduling Policy
  • Each booking may be rescheduled twice, provided the course is available (not guaranteed).
  • Requests must be made by email at least 14 days prior to the event.
  • You will be charged an admin fee of £120 +VAT or the cost of your Registration and Quality Assurance Fee – whichever is higher.
  • Reschedule requests made after deadline will not be actioned, and the full cost will be forfeited if not attended.
  • Rescheduled bookings must be taken up within 6 months and confirmed at least 14-days prior to the new course date, or the full cost is forfeited.
🤒 Sickness Clause
  • If a participant is unable to attend due to illness, a reschedule request may be made with supporting evidence (e.g. a medical certificate or equivalent).
  • Where possible, such requests should be submitted before the course date, but late requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Registration and Quality Assurance Fees cannot be refunded.
  • Rescheduled bookings due to sickness must still be taken up within 12 months and confirmed at least 14 days prior to the new course date.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Emergency Clause
  • If a participant is unable to attend due to a genuine family emergency, a reschedule request may be submitted with brief supporting context.
  • While the 14-day notice period is preferred, late requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • The administration fee may be waived at the organiser’s discretion in genuine cases.
  • Rescheduled bookings due to family emergencies must still be taken up within 12 months and confirmed at least 14 days prior to the new course date.
🫥 No-Show Policy
  • Failure to attend without prior notice will result in forfeiture of the full course fee.
  • No reschedule or refund will be offered for no-shows.
↔️ Transfer Policy
  • Bookings may be transferred to another individual for an admin fee of £30 +VAT, provided notice is given at least 7 days prior to the course date.
  • The new participant must meet any course prerequisites and confirm attendance in writing.
🚫 Restrictions on Attendance
  • Trainers or course designers from other training organisations are not permitted to attend.
  • Bookings linked to other training providers will be cancelled.
  • Registration and Quality Assurance Fees cannot be refunded.
  • Registrations are monitored continuously.

There is no cooling off period for digital products and services.

If booked as part of a group, these terms will apply to all individual affected places.
