Our lead tutor and traditional building retrofit expert Professor John Edwards, will be delivering a webinar for the Institute of Historic Building Conservation on applying the new PAS 2035: 2023 to traditional buildings. Its free and takes place on the 15th December 2023 at 10 am (1 hour including time for questions).
PAS 2035 is a standard developed for the retrofitting of dwellings of all types and ages including traditional and historic buildings. This webinar will generally introduce the recently published 2023 version and focus on its application to traditional and historic buildings and the role of ‘BS7913: 2013: Guide to the Conservation of Historic Buildings’ in complying with PAS 2035. At the end of the webinar, you will have an awareness of PAS 2035 and what’s it for, an understanding of the different roles and the competencies and qualifications required for each of them. In addition, an outline in how to apply PAS 2035 and what outcomes are likely to be achieved in different circumstances.
Professor Edwards led in the development of BS 7913 and has been a member the panels producing PAS 2030, PAS 2035 and PAS 2038. He developed the first 2 Day course in the Retrofit of Traditional Buildings in 2015 achieving the Level 3 Award qualification required by PAS 2035 and has been delivering it ever since. Has been involved in retrofit projects for over 30 years.
