The Environment Study Centre is pleased to announce a new practical onsite course on dealing with damp, mould and condensation in buildings. Although the Environment Study Centre has previously delivered such training, now it is available as a formal offer.
We frequently receive inquiries on the practicalities of undertaking damp surveys, and this course will address this demand. It’s one of the important things the Environment Study Centre is developing on this issue in 2025, but there is more to follow.
The lead tutor is Professor John Edwards, who is a Chartered Building Surveyor and building pathologist in practise who has undertaken on site analysis on buildings ranging from castles to council houses. Professor Edwards commenced his building surveying career in 1981, when he first undertook the analysis of moisture problems in buildings. Alongside Professor Edwards will be surveyor Matt George with over many years experience of undertaking inspections of buildings for moisture problems.
Professor Edward said: “This is a much needed course, in order that we can describe the overall approach, the analysis and the equipment that we need to use”.
In addition to the onsite tuition, the course will commence with a short online session that introduces the whole subject.
